Oral Project 1 instructions

1BATX ORAL PROJECT 1.

DESCRIBING A PERSON AND HIS/HER BIOGRAPHY.

This will be your Oral Project for the Class blog.

You must create it little by little and following all the Steps.

1.       Choose a Person who you admire.

2.       Complete the file. (you might have to speak to this person and interview him/her or find out missing information)

3.       Write your first draft and give it to the teacher for correction.

4.       Correct the draft and write your final version.

5.       Rehearse pronunciation. You teachers will help you.

6.       Once you feel sure about your pronunciation record your project using Audacity.

7.       Find pictures of that person (remember to ask for permission.)

8.       Put it all together using movie maker or podomatic or any other tool.

9.       Upload it to the web.

10.     See the other's projects and make comments on them

Make sure you turn in your project on the due dates.

Birthplace
Studies
Occupation	Main Achievements
Marital Status	Reasons for your admiring him/her
Children	Why is he/she important for us.
Likes and Dislikes	Things we have in common.

It has got 2 Parts- description and biography.

Part 1. Description. Personality and Appearance.

Remember to talk about his/her hair, face, complexion, build, general appearance, clothes…using the adjectives we have been working on in class. Viewpoints 1. Unit 1 and other class activities.

Part2. Biography

In this part you are going to talk about the person’s early life , studies, career developments and achievements and their future plans if you know them.

Remember to use the verb tenses properly. You also have to pay attention to sequence connectors.

Composition Stucture.

Once you have both parts you will have to put them together in the form of a composition with its opening, body and closing.

Opening. Introduces person’s name, birthplace and date  and description.

Body . States who the person is and all his biographical data.

Conclusion. Sum up his/her qualities and personal achievements and the reason why you admire them.
